Man Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing One Person

One man has been arrested in connection to a stabbing in Carson City.

According to a press release, deputies responded to the 600-block of West King Street just before 5:30 p.m. for a report of a person injured during a fight. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as having sustained a serious knife wound to the stomach. The victim was transported by Care Flight to Renown Medical Center with serious wounds, but is expected to survive.

Witnesses to the incident reported 38-year-old Kenneth Paz got into a fight as the victim’s daughter was moving out of her apartment. Paz was arrested at the scene without incident and charged with Battery With a Deadly Weapon.  He is being held in the Carson City Jail.

This matter remains under investigation.
