Hawaii no Vacation for Nevada

Posted: Updated:

The Nevada Wolf Pack lost their conference opener to the Hawaii Warriors on the Islands 38-17. The loss snaps a 5 game winning streak the Pack had against the Warriors.

The Wolf Pack trailed 17-3 at the half to former Nevada Offensive Coordinator Nick Rolovich's Warriors. Hawaii would then open up the third quarter with three straight Touchdowns to take a 38-3 lead.

Nevada scored two touchdowns in the 4th quarter to make the score look a little more respectable. The first first one came when Tyler Stewart connected with Wyatt Demps on a nine yard touchdown pass. The next possession for the Pack also resulted in a touchdown, a two yard rush from Jaxson Kincade.

Running Back James Butler was a bright spot for the Pack as he rushed for 168 yards on 21 carries.

Next up for the Wolf Pack, they will host Fresno State on Saturday October 8th at 4pm.
