The Douglas County Sheriff's Office say a Secret Witness tip led to the missing parents of two small children who were the focus of an AMBER Alert Monday night.

Douglas County Deputies say 29-year-old Dason Valdez and 27-year-old Krystle Reid were located by the Carson City Sheriff's Office early Thursday morning. Valdez was arrested  on a Carson City warrant, while Reid was released at the scene.

Deputies say charges for both are pending in Douglas County.

Douglas County had issued an AMBER Alert Monday night for the two small children. Authorities say four-year-old Hailey Valdez and two-year-old Lucas Valdez were returned to their custodial grandparents by a friend. They were not hurt.

Deputies say the children's father, Dason Valdez lost custodial rights to the children on Monday. Around 5 p.m. deputies say Valdez entered his parent’s Indian Hills residence, battered his mother, and took the four-year-old from her. He and the children’s mother, Krystle Reid, then left with both children.

A nationwide AMBER alert was issued and the children were returned unharmed to their legal guardians.
