Nevada Men's Basketball Team to Make 19 National Television Appearances in 2016-17

The University of Nevada men’s basketball team will make a minimum of 19 national television appearances this season. Additional televised road games may be announced at a later date.

“The 19 games being televised shows the respect the Nevada basketball program gained nationally after last season,” head coach Eric Musselman said. “The exposure for the University and the basketball program will receive will be outstanding. It will definitely help in recruiting and get the University of Nevada in many homes across the country.”

The Wolf Pack is coming off a 24-14 season and CBI Championships in Musselman’s first season at Nevada. The Pack returns four starters from last season in D.J. Fenner, Cameron Oliver, Elijah Foster and Lindsey Drew. Nevada also welcomes three transfers who sat out last season in Marcus Marshall, Leland King II and Jordan Caroline.  A nationally ranked recruiting class includes freshmen Devearl Ramsey and Josh Hall.

The Pack will make eight appearances on ESPN3, seven on CBS Sports Network, two on either ESPN2/ESPNU, one on ROOT Sports and one on Campus Insiders. Additionally five contests will be available on WolfPack.tv.

Of Nevada’s 18 Mountain West games, 17 will be shown on TV. The lone game that will not air is the MW opener at home on Dec. 28 versus San José State University that can be seen on NevadaWolfPack.tv.  

ESPN3 games include the Oregon State home game on Nov. 18, the Dec. 31 contest at Fresno State, at Wyoming on Jan. 14, at Utah State on Feb. 1, at Air Force on Feb. 15, home with Utah State on Feb. 18, home against Boise State on Feb. 22 and Senior Day at home against Colorado State on Mar. 4.

CBS Sports Network will televise the Nov. 23 game with Oakland at the Great Alaska Shootout. The winners bracket of the GAS will also be carried by CBSSN. MW games on CBSSN are home with Fresno State on Jan. 21, at Boise State on Jan. 25, home verus New Mexico on Jan. 28, the home intrastate rival game with UNLV on Feb. 8, at San Diego State on Feb. 11, and at UNLV on Feb. 25.

The home contest with SDSU on Jan. 4 and the road game at New Mexico on Jan. 7 will air on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. It will be determined at a later date which network will televise those games.

ROOT Sports will air the Air Force home game on Jan. 18. Campus Insiders will broadcast the contest at Colorado State on Mar. 1.
