The Reno Bighorns will play their first 2016-17 regular season home game on Saturday, Nov. 19 against the Oklahoma City Blue.

Reno begins its season in Texas with a matchup against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Sunday, Nov. 13 at State Farm Arena (4 p.m. PST) before facing the Austin Spurs on Tuesday, Nov. 15 (9 a.m. PST) and again on Thursday, Nov. 17 (5:30 p.m. PST). The Bighorns return to northern Nevada to open their ninth season at the Reno Events Center versus the Oklahoma City Blue on Saturday, Nov. 19 (7:00 p.m. PST). Six of the club’s next 10 contests will take place on the road, including matchups against one of the NBA Development League’s recently relocated teams, the Northern Arizona Suns (previously Bakersfield Jam) on Nov. 25 and Dec. 3. The team returns to the south for a game against the Vipers (Dec. 11), Texas Legends (Dec. 14) and then will make a trip to the midwest to face the Iowa Energy (Dec. 16). The team will again travel south to play Oklahoma (Dec. 28) and Texas (Dec. 30) to wrap up the 2016 year.

The Bighorns will start the New Year with their lengthiest homestand on the calendar to usher in 2017, beginning with division rivals, LA D-Fenders (Jan. 3). The team will continue the homestand hosting Oklahoma (Jan. 5), Northern Arizona Suns (Jan. 7), Grand Rapids Drive (Jan. 9), Austin (Jan. 11) and concluding the stand against the Canton Charge (Jan. 13). The team will go on the road to take on NBA Development League Champions Sioux Falls Skyforce (Jan. 15) before returning home for a five-game stretch, hosting the Skyforce (Jan. 25), Vipers (Jan. 27), the recently relocated Salt Lake City Stars (Jan. 29 & Feb. 3) and Iowa (Feb. 1).

After the five-game home stretch, the team will go on a four-game sojourn comprising stops in Erie (Feb. 9), Greensboro (Feb. 11), Iowa (Feb. 13) and Santa Cruz (Feb. 22) before yielding to three consecutive contests at home, including matchups with Santa Cruz (Feb. 24), Windy City Bulls (Mar. 1) and Raptors 905 (Mar. 3).

The Bighorns wind down the regular season with an almost balanced slate of home and road contests during the spring months, staying west to start with halts in Santa Cruz (Mar. 4), Los Angeles (Mar. 10), then hosting the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (Mar. 13). After traveling to Sioux Falls (Mar. 15) and Oklahoma (Mar. 18) the team will play at the Reno Events Center against Texas (Mar. 20) before making an East Coast jaunt to face the Delaware 87ers (Mar. 22), Westchester Knicks (Mar. 24) and a stop in Maine to take on the Red Claws (Mar. 26). The team returns to Reno to host LA (Mar. 29) for one game before traveling to The City of Saints to face the Stars for the final regular season road game. The regular season finale will take place at home on Saturday, Apr. 1 against the Suns at 7 p.m.

All Bighorns games will be featured on YouTube, which can be accessed through Renobighorns.com. The team will play two games at the annual NBA D-League Showcase in January. Every D-League team will play each team in their conference 4 times (2 home/2 away) for a total of 40 games (including games at Showcase) while each team plays 10 games against the opposite conference (5 home and 5 Away).
