From the University of Nevada:

After collecting two wins and one save in three appearances last week, sophomore RHP Mark Nowaczewski has been named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week. It marks the Reed High grad’s first career weekly award. Nevada has earned MW Pitcher of the Week honors in back-to-back weeks and for the third time this season.

A 6-foot-4 right-handed pitcher out of Sparks, Nowaczewski made three appearances last week with a perfect ERA while notching two wins and one save. He logged 8.1 innings pitched with no runs, four hits, two walks and five strikeouts. He also limited his opponent to a .143 batting average.
Nowaczewski led Nevada to a 10-5 victory against Pacific on Tuesday, logging 4.0 shutout innings to earn the save. He allowed just two base runners in four frames while also striking out four batters, posting his first save of the season.
Nowaczewski also earned two wins in Nevada’s sweep of San Jose State in Mountain West Play. He pitched 2.1 shutout innings to earn the win on Friday as the Wolf Pack won, 11-8. Nowaczewski then pitched in the series finale and earned the win in 2.0 relief inning as Nevada won, 6-4. He allowed just two base runners in both appearances and became the first Pack player this season to earn two wins in a single series.
On the season, Nowaczewski has made 16 appearances with a 3-1 record, one save and a 5.03 ERA in 34.0 innings pitched.
The Wolf Pack have won 10 straight games, which is the longest win streak in the nation. Nevada improved to 27-20 overall and 16-8 in MW play after sweeping the Spartans this weekend. The Pack returns to action on Tuesday, hosting San Francisco at 4 p.m. PT at Peccole Park.
