'Aceskating' Returns to Aces Ballpark November 24

“Aceskating” returns to Aces Ballpark on Tuesday, November 24 complete with opening night festivities and weekly promotions. 

The rink, which is located in front of Aces Ballpark, returns with a larger skating surface and will remain open until the middle of February, weather pending. 

Skating begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 10:00 p.m. on opening night. Festivities include: 
•         First 250 people receive a free skate rental voucher for a future Monday-Thursday skate session
•         First 250 people receive a free hot chocolate and churro 
•         Appearance by Santa Claus
•         Performance by national competitor Evan Bender, national competitor and former pro figure skater Christine Hotchkin, and skaters from the Tahoe

Figure Skating Club 

Normal skating hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Extended holiday hours will go from December 18-January 10 with skating hours from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day of the week. 

Admission per session is $8 for adults/teens (13-54 years old), $6 for children (3-12 years old) and $6 for seniors (55+ years old), plus $3 skate rental per person. 10-visit punch passes are available along with discounts for group of 20 or more. 

Weekly Promotions: 

Thursday: Arroyo Mexican Grill Happy Hour, Student Thursdays. Show your student ID and receive a free skate rental 

Friday: Food Truck Fridays including Brothers BBQ on select dates 

Saturday: Saturday Giveaways from January 9-February 13
•         First 450 people to skate receive the following on listed date: 
•         January 9 – Fleece Blanket 
•         January 16 – Replica Grey Road Jersey 
•         January 23 – Tin Lunch Box 
•         January 30 – Nick Ahmed Bobblehead
•         February 6 – Tin Lunch Box 
•         February 13 – Nick Ahmed Bobblehead 

Sunday: Aces Care Sunday presented by KTVN Channel 2 News – Donate two canned food items per person to receive free skate rental

    The Reno Aces salvaged a series split with a 7-3 win over the Salt Lake Bees at Greater Nevada Field Thursday night. The Aces divided the night between five arms on the mound – Aaron Laffey, Jared Miller, Erik Davis, Louis Coleman, and Jimmie Sherfy – combining for a six-hitter with just three runs allowed. Rudy Flores highlighted the night offensively finishing 3-for-3 with two RBI and a home run.
