With less than two weeks to go before Thanksgiving, local philanthropist Evelyn Mount says she's badly in need of help.
Mount says she's never seen such a big need this close to Thanksgiving.
She says she's only collected 26 turkeys so far and since she doesn't have enough meat to go around... So she'll have to hold off on giving out whole turkeys until Christmas, and just rely on turkey parts, chickens and cornish hens.
She says anything people can give will help.
"Whatever they bring we just have to pass it to the people. And if they can't bring a whole turkey, bring a half a turkey, a turkey breast or whatever, as long as I can give the people the food that they're expecting."
If you want to donate you can drop off food at Mount's home at 2530 Cannan Street, or Sak n' Save on Oddie Boulevard.
