Reed Raiders Raising Money for Hawaii Trip

Posted: Updated:

ROTC Cadets from Reed High School have been invited to march in the 2015 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Waikiki, Hawaii. Saturday, September 12th the students are asking for the community's help to send them there by hosting a car wash and a rummage sale.

From 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. the students will be holding a rummage sale and washing cars from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. to help raise money to send them on this once-in-a-lifetime event. They've worked hard holding many fundraisers to reach their financial goal and travel to Waikiki.

Thirty-five ROTC Cadets were invited to march in this parade to commemorate the memory of the men and woman killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Each year NJROTC units from states that had a ship on Battleship Row during the attack are invited to march.

If you cannot attend the rummage sale or garage sale on Saturday you can still send donations made out to "Reed Raider Battalion" with "Hawaii" on the notation line to:
