Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers screened hundreds of drivers for a Fourth of July holiday DUI checkpoint.

They say out of the 2,021 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint on Highway 50 at Spooner Summit, 22 drivers were sent to a secondary screening where three people were arrested for driving under the influence and a fourth person was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

During the entire month of July, law enforcement agencies statewide will be increasing their number of officer and troopers on the roadways in a continued effort to curb driving under the influences of alcohol and drugs.
