Sheriff Chuck Allen is once again on our Safety Watch Q & A segment... answering questions many of you submitted on Facebook and Twitter. To speak with him dial 858-2222. Lines are open from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.  

Ric Gau asked us:

"Does Washoe County have any unprocessed rape kits? And are you planning on having them all processed and entered into the national database?"

Brian Eubanks asks - 

"Understanding that many inmates have substance abuse issues, will you support and take steps to allow volunteers with AA and NA to conduct meetings with inmates in the county jail?"

Bob Gailor says - 

"Get the reserved deputies out on patrol. The more visible the less crime, I hope." 

Donna Johnson wrote and said - 

"I have a sheriff, down the street from me that drives their truck home.......everyday. This truck should only be driven home during an on call process."

Matthew Randolph Jose wants to know - 

"Now that "Trooper Chuck"is no longer proper, would you prefer to be called "Sheriff Chuck" or "Sheriff Allen"?"
