Safety Watch: Sparks Police Chief Answers Your Questions

Posted: Updated:
If you or a loved one lives, works or simply spends time in the Rail City... tonight's Safety Watch Q & A is for you.

Sparks Police Chief Brian Allen is our guest.

This month we're asking our Facebook viewers to send in their questions, comments and concerns...

1)  Both Jim Joseph and Christina Hignite ask -  "when we can expect more officers patrolling neighborhoods like the vistas and Wingfield Springs" - where they say they've seen an uptick in home and car break-ins?

2)  Tim Nicol says he's seeing panhandlers at the intersection of McCarran and the I-80 off ramp.  How is this type of activity typically handled?

3) Jessica Williams says -- "even though I believe Sparks PD has a great conduct record, it would only strengthen the departments reputation if the chief decides to implement mandatory body cameras on all of his police force; cameras that cannot be turned off or tampered with." Any plans for that?

4) Robert Drummond is concerned about people speeding in residential areas of Sparks. He says, "I see it everyday on my street... I feel that this is an issue because I live by two schools."
