Nevada Beats SJSU: Snaps Seven Game Losing Streak

Posted: Updated:
The Nevada Wolf Pack Men's Basketball Team beat the San Jose State Spartans 60-57 on Saturday, snapping a 7 game losing streak.

The Wolf Pack led most of the way but the Spartans took a brief lead in the second half for about 20 seconds until Eric Cooper Jr. scored two of his 12 points to reclaim the lead for Nevada.

San Jose State would tie the game shortly there after but then with 13:30 left in the game AJ West threw down a dunk and Nevada would never relinquish the lead.

The Spartans did get within a point with less than two minutes remaining but an West layup and a Tyron Criswell jumper gave the Pack all the points they would need to get their first win since beating UNLV on January 7th.

AJ West recorded his 10th double-double of the season by scoring 17 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Along with Cooper Jr.'s 12 points, Criswell added ten points. Lucas Stivrins added a career high ten rebounds.

Nevada's next game is another road trip, this time to Logan, UT to play Utah State on Tuesday at 6pm.
