Safety Watch Q&A: Reno Police Answer Your Questions

Posted: Updated:
This week we're taking our Safety Watch Q & A segment to you... the viewers.

We posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages an opportunity for you to send in your questions for Reno Police.

Answering our viewer questions is Deputy Chief Mac Venzon.

Our first question comes from Bob Adams who asks "Why isn't more being done about enforcing traffic laws, especially red lights and cell phones?

Trevor Jensen asks "I've been seeing on the news, a lot of pedestrians vs. vehicle accidents. Can anything specifically be done, such as adding lights, like the crosswalk at UNR, to prevent more accidents from occurring?"

Tiffany Thomas asks "What is the number one thing that the police department would like to see from the community? In what way can we as Nevadans/Reno residents help one another?"

Ole Marin asks "What are they going to do to increase the safety in nightclubs in neighborhoods?"

Iesha Durant-Lunas wants to know "Why the rise in crime in Cold Springs? Are we just more aware? What is being done about it. Robbery, murder, overdose's?"
