How you present yourself plays a big role in a job interview. But what if your first impression is made over the phone?
Brad Stewart is the area director for ProLogistix and Personnel One - which finds temp and full-time jobs for Northern Nevadans.
If you have any questions for him, call 858-2222 between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. tonight.
Stewart says phone interview etiquette is crucial. It's always helpful to practice. Keep you answers to questions clear and concise. Try to eliminate "ums" and "uhs" when interviewing.
It is wise to use a landline as opposed to a cell phone which may drop the call. Also, if there are kids in the house, go to a quiet area.
Smile, as it will change the tone of your voice.
Take notes and take your time.
Your goal is to get a face-to-face interview next.
