Campaign 2014: Request to Pull Attack Ad

Posted: Updated:
Attorney General candidate Adam Laxalt is striking back at an attack ad questioning his career.

The ad, funded by the Silver State Committee for Justice and Fairness, questions Laxalt's performance and experience to be attorney general.

Lawyers for the Republican candidate are calling the ad, false and defamatory.

Today, lawyers sent a letter to KTVN, asking for the ad to be pulled from airing on this station.

"When we receive a complaint like that, we ask for documentation to support whatever's said in the ad, we've asked for that. We're reviewing that, and we're not running the ad until we finish the review,” says General Manager Lawson Fox.

Lawyers sent similar letters to other Nevada television stations that are airing the ad.

No word yet on how they are handling the request.
