Money Watch Q & A: Your Power to Negotiate

Whether you are negotiating a salary, asking for a raise or working out a deal to buy a car, tonight's Money Watch Q & A guest can help you increase your confidence and effectiveness before the conversation ever begins.

Alison Gaulden is a lecturer at the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada. She will also be teaching a course called Your Power to Negotiate next month through the Washoe Community Education program. During the October class, you will learn how to determine what can and cannot be negotiated, discover your negotiation style and how to apply it in different situations.

The class is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22nd from 6-9 p.m. at the TMCC Meadowood Center in Reno. The cost is $49 and you must register in advance. To register, call 829-9010 or visit http://www.tmcc.edu/wdce/ and click on the “Register Now” link.

Alison has been working in public affairs since 1989. She has non-profit, management, marketing and teaching experience. Alison received her MBA from the University of Phoenix, her bachelor's degree in journalism and certification in non-profit management from the University of Nevada, Reno.
