Suspect Sought in Fatal Stabbing

The Reno Police Department is searching for a suspect following a deadly stabbing early Friday morning.

Investigators responded to the 500-block of S. Virginia St. on reports of a fight in the area, just before 1:30 a.m.

At the scene police found a 48-year-old man laying on the ground, suffering from a stab wound to the torso.

The victim received first aid from officers and paramedics before being transported to the hospital where he later died.

He has been identified as Reno resident Richard LeBarron.

Witnesses say the suspect fled on a BMX bicycle and describe him as a black man in his mid 20s to early 30s, 5'8" - 5'11", weighing between 150 and 180 pounds with braided black hair.
