Police Investigate Stabbing at Downtown Reno Motel

Posted: Updated:
Reno Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Saturday morning at the Rancho Sierra Motel on Fourth Street downtown.

They say around 3 a.m. two men got into an altercation and stabbed each other. Police say one of the men left the scene south towards the Sands Regency Casino and the second man went north toward Fifth Street "through the alley ways."

Police say one of the two men was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in critical condition. They say they talked to the second man who was arrested on non-related charges. They are still investigating Saturday's stabbing to see if anyone will face charges in that case.

They are hoping to gather more information on what happened, so if you know anything that could help, call Reno police or Secret Witness at 322-4900 or text your tip to 847-411.
