From the Nevada Humane Society:

Join the battle of the TransFURmers as they take over Nevada Humane Society from August 20 through September 1! Adoptimus Prime, leader of the heroic Autodogs, is pushing for his team to win, with Bumble Kitten befriending all who enter the shelter. But the Deceptacats are determined to take over adoptions too. Who will win? You decide!

Adopt an Autodog for $35, a Deceptacat for $10 (though Deceptacats over three years old are free) or a Bumble Kitten for $50. All TransFURmers are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped services which cost over $240 on a regular basis.

“Being innovative with pet adoptions is key to placing all of our great animals into loving homes,” said Kimberly Wade, Senior Manager of Communications and Events. “TransFURMers was a brainstorm among staff and we are so excited to cheer on our Autodogs and Deceptacats to see who will find homes during this time!”

To adopt a TransFURMer, visit Nevada Humane Society on Longley Lane in Reno. The shelter is open daily, from 11am until 6:30pm except for Saturdays in which it opens an hour earlier at 10am. All adoption fees benefit homeless pets.
