Posted: Updated:
Sparks Police have released a sketch of the suspect in a late night stabbing that occurred Sunday, August 17th. They say the victim helped in completing the sketch, and are asking the public for help.

Police were dispatched just before 11p.m. in the area of Sparks Blvd. and Eagle Pass Rd.

When police arrived, the victim told them he was parked at an apartment complex making a phone call when a Hispanic male approached his vehicle and started stabbing him.

The victim fled in his vehicle and was able to call police.

He was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center with several but non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect they are looking for is a Hispanic man, in his early 20's with short hair.

They say the suspect may have been injured during the incident and may have needed medical assistance.

The investigation is ongoing, so if you any information regarding the case you are asked to call Sparks Police at 353-2231

Or you can call Secret Witness at 322-4900. A $1,000 reward is being offered.
