Circus Circus Reno is crediting several security officers with saving a guest recently.

A casino representative says a man was standing by himself on the casino floor when he collapsed. The security officers were quick to the scene where they administered CPR and used the AED defibrillator on the individual before finding a pulse.

“Our team is good at this,” said Darrell Clifton, Security Director. “Our team practices all the time and when incidents like this occur, the whole team steps in, not just one. We are escorting the ambulance, administering CPR or even retrieving the supplies as a team.”

The security officers were Doug DeHart, Kyle Frievalt, Kevin Giguere and Christopher Gillette. Each security officer was trained and ready for anything that could happen so they could administer life-saving practices when necessary.

“We are so grateful to all of our security officers who train constantly for the ultimate fearless act—saving a life. Special thanks to all these officers for their relentless service to others and their quick action that saves lives. We are proud of the team we have at Circus Circus.”
