The Coast Guard says the Tahoe Queen is being evacuated after running aground off the Ski Run Marina, which is where the boat departs from.

El Dorado County Deputies and South Lake Tahoe Police are assisting the Coast Guard in evacuations.

An Aramark company spokesman tells us the boat was departing on a trip around the lake, about one mile off shore, when for some unknown reason it ran aground.

About 300 passengers and crew members were aboard the Tahoe Queen when the 4 p.m. accident happened.

The Coast Guard tells us no one was hurt.

The cause remains under investigation.

Channel 2 News has a crew headed to the scene right now. We’ll have the latest on this developing story on Channel 2 News at 11pm. You can also go to www.ktvn.com any time day or night.
