Sparks Police Search for Car After Attempted Drive-By Shooting

Sparks Police are looking for the occupants of one car involved in an attempted drive-by shooting that happened on Friday, August 1st.

According to police, at around 2:45 p.m. officers were called to the intersection of Linda Way and Freeport Boulevard on reports of shots fired. When the arrived, witnesses told officers they saw two vehicles, a red Ford Mustang and a white Chevy Suburban, speeding through the area and attempting to shoot a pedestrian.

After fleeing, the drivers then allegedly came back through the intersection, and briefly left their cars to collect evidence of the shooting. They then left the area.

Sparks Police say that officers quickly found the red Mustang and its occupants. The white Chevy is still at large.

No one was injured in the shooting, but one vehicle that was not involved was hit by gunfire.

Police are still investigating this incident, and are asking anyone with any additional information on the attempted shooting to call Secret Witness at 322-4900.
