NDOW: Fruit Trees May Bring Bears

Posted: Updated:
The Nevada Department of Wildlife is warning residents to pick fruits off their trees so they don't attract bears.

Experts say a black bear's sense of smell is 2,100 times better than a human's and that fruit will entice them to come into neighborhoods.

NDOW says this time of year fruits are ripe and ready to be picked and they're asking anyone who owns fruit trees to pick the fruit as soon as possible.
