Patriots' Luncheon to Benefit Veterans Gust House

Posted: Updated:
The Veterans Guest House is teaming up with the Barracuda Championship, formerly the Reno-Tahoe Open, to help local veterans.

They'll host the annual Patriots' Luncheon, which benefits the Guest House and this year K9s for Warriors, a non-profit that pairs veterans who have PTSD with shelter dogs.

“They match a shelter animal and one of our patriots, one of our returning veterans and have them train together as a service animal so they become best buds,” says Noreen Leary, Chief Operating Officer, Veterans Guest House.

This year's event will feature the story of a Nevada Soldier, Bill and his dog Justice.

Tables of 9 are $1,000. Individual tickets are $125 per person, and the lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. at the National Air Guard Base in Reno.

To buy tickets before 5 p.m. on Monday, call (775) 800-1306.
