U.S. Forest Service to Thin Trees in South Shore

The U.S. Forest Service will continue with their thinning of trees on Lake Tahoe's South Shore on Monday.

They will be thinning various spots and will start with burning 170 acres of national forest land.

This will continue until October 15th.

Some areas will be closed from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. for public safety.

The Forest Order and maps showing the closure locations will be posted at http://www.fs.usda.gov/goto/ltbmu/SouthShoreFuelReduction. ; The closure also will be posted in areas where work is occurring.
