Two Convicted for Selling Methamphetamine in Sun Valley

Washoe County reports that two men have been convicted by a jury for selling methamphetamine out of the Sun Valley area.

Both the convicted men, Tito Barron-Aguilar and Julio Carlos Reyes-Gomez, and a third man, Florentino Soria-Herrera, were arrested on December 4th of 2013 after an investigation by the DEA found the men in possession of more than 400 small bags of methamphetamine packaged to be resold.

Soria-Herrera has already pleaded guilty for Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. Barron-Aguilar and Reyes-Gomez were convicted of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. Barron-Aguilar was also convicted of four additional counts for selling meth between October and December of 2013.

Washoe County says both convicted men will stay in custody until they are sentenced on September 16th. They both face a mandatory minimum prison sentence of ten years and fines of up to $500,000.
