Flash Flood Warnings for Carson City, Douglas, Storey and Washoe Counties

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a flash flood warning for Carson City and Douglas County until 9:30pm Wednesday.

NWS says the warning is for southeastern Carson City and north central Douglas County.

This storm is producing heavy rainfall of one inch or more an hour.

Locations in the warning include, but are not limited to Minden, Johnson Lane, Indian Hills and Highway 395 south of Carson City.

A separate flash flood warning is for southwestern Storey County and extreme south central Washoe County until 10pm Wednesday.

Locations in the warning include but are not limited to Highway 341 at Washoe-Storey County line. The main area of rainfall is in the Virginia City Highlands, Toll Road and Geiger Grade.
