The Reno Fire Department received a donation of $5,000 from CITA Insurance Services on Tuesday.
They presented the check at Fire Station 12 on Damonte Ranch Parkway.
The money will go toward materials to educate the members of the community- of all ages- about fire safety.
“Sometimes we lose these kids at the older ages, and thanks to this grant we were able to actually purchase material and education material for some of the older kids, in addition to senior citizens,” says fire marshal Jeff Donahue.
CITA Insurance is based in Southern California but decided to donate to the Reno Fire Department through a partnership with Dickson Realty.
