Power Restored for Wedekind/El Rancho Areas of Sparks

Update: NV Energy tells KTVN power has been restored for all Sparks residents, as of 7:18 p.m. Monday night.

NV Energy reports nearly 530 customers are without power right now in the Wedekind/El Rancho areas in Sparks.  

The outage started just before 5pm Monday and is mostly likely weather-related.

There's no immediate word on when power will be restored.

Also, there's an outage reported near Fernley that's affecting 450 customers. There's no immediate word on when power will be restored. The cause remains under investigation.
