Everybody Deserves a Massage Week is July 13-19

RIVERSIDE, Calif., July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- There once was a time when getting a massage was an expensive extravagance, but with the potential benefits of massage gaining increased recognition, massages have become easily available and affordable. That's why Massage Green Spa is joining massage therapists across the country July 13-19 to celebrate Everybody Deserves a Massage Week.

"Massage therapy should be an affordable luxury available to everyone," said Allie Mallad, Founder and CEO of Massage Green Spa. "We believe in reducing stress and treating pain through an environmentally-sound approach."

The event is part of a nation-wide effort to raise awareness of the benefits of massage and Massage Green Spa aims to make massage therapy more affordable and accessible for everyone.

In today's fast-paced society, the need for regular relaxation and massage has continued to grow. Studies from the National Institute of Mental Health show that chronic stress may contribute to serious health issues, including heart disease, elevated blood pressure and anxiety. The Mayo Clinic reports that massage therapy has been demonstrated as an effective means of managing stress, pain, and muscle tension.

Massage Green Spa is committed to "healthy buildings and healthy bodies." Massage Green Spa offers environmentally-friendly spa services using hypoallergenic lotions, essential oils and chemical- and preservative-free facial products in a green environment. The spa buildings are constructed from mostly sustainable building materials, such as recycled drywall, zero VOC paint, recycled cellulose insulation and ceiling tiles, low consumptive lighting and high efficiency furnace and water heaters. Massage Green Spa offers a low introductory rate of $29.95 for a 1-Hour Full Body Massage and no strings attached memberships for only $39.95 per month.

"We believe in taking care of people," said Mallad. "…but we also take care of the environment. We hope Everybody Deserves a Massage Week will introduce more people to the benefits of massage."

Massage Green Spa currently has over 50 locations in six states, with more than 700 units under development. The company expects to have 100 locations open by the end of 2015 and more than 1,200 locations open and operating within five years. Massage Green Spa is targeting California, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Michigan and Nevada for growth.
