SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A man found with mail stolen from more than 100 Sacramento-area residents has been sentenced to a year in prison for destroying United States mail boxes.

The Sacramento Bee reports (http://bit.ly/1s2DuGq ) 57-year-old Richard Lee Gray was also ordered Thursday to pay more than $10,000 in restitution to the U.S. Postal Service.

Gray was arrested last year and pleaded guilty in September to charges including destroying letter boxes and being a felon in possession of ammunition.

When authorities executed a search warrant on his house and car, they found mail stolen from more than 108 victims. They also found burglary tools, pry bars and ammunition.

Gray was convicted in May 2001 of possession of stolen U.S. mail in Southern California.
