RTC INTERCITY Will Stop at Summit Mall Starting Monday

Posted: Updated:
From the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County:

RTC INTERCITY, the commuter bus service linking downtown Reno and Carson City, will add a stop at the Summit Mall beginning on Monday, July 14th. The addition of the stop is the result of recent improvements in freeway access and requests from members of the public. The new stop will help connect riders with shopping, dining and other recreational activities.

RTC INTERCITY is a convenient, affordable option for commuters, enabling travel between RTC 4TH STREET STATION in downtown Reno and Carson City. Stops along the route already include: Meadowood Mall, the Wal Mart at South Virginia Street and Damonte Ranch Parkway, Medical Parkway near Carson-Tahoe Health, the State Capitol and Stewart Street in Carson City near state offices. The new stop at the Summit Mall is located near the roundabout adjacent to the Mount Rose Highway.

The coaches used for the service provide free Wi-Fi and are equipped with bike racks. RTC INTERCITY operates Monday-Friday, and does not operate on major holidays. An adult one-way fare is $5, and reduced fares are available for those who qualify. For a complete scheduling information: http://www.rtcwashoe.com/public-transportation-88

Travelers on RTC INTERCITY can also transfer to other RTC transit services and JAC (Jump Around Carson), which is Carson City’s public transit system.
