Whether it’s a deal on helping you clean out your closets or chicken wings you’re looking for this weekend, we’ve got you covered. And there’s every kind of entertainment you can imagine. The March Fourth Marching Band will be at Whitney Peak, the Biggest Little City Music Festival in Wingfield Park, and a Teddy Bear Picnic at the Wildflower Village. Enjoy!

Vagos Motorcycle Club delivers

The club will make its annual delivery of dog and cat food. 3,000 pounds will go to the Nevada Humane Society at 10:30am. The Humane Society is located on Longley Lane.

Teddy Bear Picnic and Art Show

Dress up your favorite bears and bring them along to the Wildflower Village for the annual Teddy Bear Picnic. It runs from noon until 5 pm.

Biggest Little City Music Festival, Wingfield Park, 2pm

Local musicians will rotate onto the stage at Wingfield Park from 2pm to 10pm.

March Fourth Marching Band, Whitney Peak Hotel, 8pm

It’s a performance like you’ve never seen. It's jazz music in a marching band format but enhanced with circus costumes and circus acts.

And it’s at Whitney Peak starting at 8 p.m.

Residential Dump Days, Saturday and Sunday 8am-4:30

This is a great weekend to clean out your closets….and your garage and your basement. Waste Management is opening the dump for couches, mattresses, furniture, and appliances. They will take things Saturday and Sunday. Some dumping is free the rest is at a reduced price.

    Troy Scribner and the Aces were victorious Sunday against the Fresno Grizzlies by a score of 9-4. Scribner went 5.1 innings and allowed three runs on five hits to pick up his first win of the season. Offensively, Reno tallied 16 hits, their most in 2018 and hit two home runs. Jack Reinheimer (3-for-3, 2 BB) and Marcus Littlewood (3-for-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI) finished with three hits to lead the charge.

    The Nevada softball team wrapped up its weekend series with Boise State on Sunday with an 8-4 loss to the Broncos as the Wolf Pack now sits at 19-21 on the season and 8-9 in Mountain West play. This marks the first time since the opening weekend of conference games that Nevada has lost a conference series.
