Fourth of July Office Closures

Reno City Hall will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2014 in observance of Independence Day.

From the City of Sparks:

In honor of our Nation’s Independence, Sparks City Hall will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2014.

Additionally, Sparks Parks & Recreation will be closed including the Alf Sorensen Community Center and the Larry D. Johnson Community Center. The Sparks Municipal Court will also be closed.

The Sparks Marina and Deer Park pool will be open for swimming. Swim hours for the Marina are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Deer pool swim hours are 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Swimming at the Marina is permitted in the designated swim area only.

Most Washoe County administrative offices will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

The following will be closed:

* Administrative offices at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth Street in Reno.
* Washoe County Senior Services
* All Washoe County libraries will be closed Friday, July 4. Spanish Springs and downtown Reno libraries will also be closed Thursday, July 3. Please go to http://www.washoecountylibrary.us/ ; to place a hold, renew a checkout, download eBooks, research databases and more.
* The Washoe County District Court.
* The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.
* Regional Animal Services Shelter Operations and Office will be closed July 4, 2014

The following will be open:

* The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office reception/front desk.

* The office of the County Clerk at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth Street and Wells Avenue in Reno will remain open throughout the holiday from 8 a.m. to midnight for the issuance of marriage licenses, fictitious firm names and notary bond filings, as well as property tax payments for the Treasurer’s Office.
