Passengers can relax on a coach bus departing either from Meadowood Mall or the Summit Mall. The cash fare is $5 each way for adults, and passengers must have the exact amount. Please note the final bus to bring people back to Reno on Independence Day departs Lake Tahoe at 7 p.m. The RTC Sand Harbor service also enables passengers to connect to TART (Tahoe Area Regional Transit), which is operated by Placer County, California.

Other RTC routes will be on a Sunday schedule on Independence Day. Administrative offices and passenger services will be closed. RTC INTERCITY will not be in operation. The Sand Harbor weekend and holiday service will continue to operate through September 1st (Labor Day). The service is possible as a result of federal funding.
