Posted: Updated:
Authorities have identified a man who died this weekend in the Truckee River, and a woman in a Sparks swimming pool.

According to fire officials, at around 1:35pm Sunday, the fire department received a report of a person lying face down in the Truckee River near the intersection of Glendale Avenue and Galletti Way.

The medical examiner's office has identified the man as 38-year-old Keith Hagar of Reno.

His death is believed to be an accident, but investigators say suicide is still being considered as a possibility.

And – Sparks detectives are investigating an accidental drowning in the 3400 block of Gwynelle Court.

The home's owner found 31-year-old Kristen Denler lying unresponsive in the home's pool around 12:30pm Sunday.

She died at the scene.

Officers say alcohol may be a factor in her drowning.

Some things to remember if you decide to take a swim:

* never swim alone. It's best to swim with a friend in case something happens

* let a friend or family member know you are taking a dip and where and when you're doing it.

* never swim after consuming alcohol
