Rollover Crash Closes I-80 at North Center, 8th Street Reno

Posted: Updated:
Police say the I-80 west on-ramp at North Center near 8th Street in Reno remains closed after a rollover accident Monday morning.

Police say around 9:30am the driver of a small flatbed lumber truck hit a Jeep Wrangler on the South Virginia Street off-ramp causing the Jeep to roll onto its side.

Reno Firefighters cut out all three people from inside the Jeep. The driver and passenger received minor injuries, while a third, a juvenile in the back seat, suffered a broken bone. They were all transported to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the flatbed took himself to the hospital for treatment.

Police say they are interviewing witnesses right now, and add alcohol, drugs and/or texting do not appear to be involved.
