Dayton Man Found Guilty on Drug, Gun Charges

Posted: Updated:
A jury found 47-year-old Gary Edward Allen of Dayton guilty of trafficking a controlled substance and four counts of possession of a stolen firearm, according to the Lyon County District Attorney's Office.

The district attorney's office says Allen was convicted Wednesday, after a two-day trial, for possession of four revolvers that were stolen from a home in Carson City. Officers say they located the guns in Allen's car, along with enough methamphetamine to be charged with trafficking. They say officers also found drug paraphernalia inside Allen's home.

Allen faces a maximum of 26 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for August 18th at the District Court in Yerington.
