RTC Seeks Public Input on Proposed Sun Valley Corridor Improvements

Posted: Updated:
The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County will hold an open house Thursday night seeking input on proposed improvements in the Sun Valley Corridor.

RTC has been conducting a study of the Sun Valley Boulevard Corridor - roughly Sun Valley Boulevard from Scottsdale Road to Highland Ranch Parkway, along with the area between Chocolate Drive and Yukon Drive. The study’s purpose is to identify issues affecting vehicles, transit, pedestrians and bike-riders.

The open house will be held at Hobey’s Casino from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the upstairs banquet room located at 5195 Sun Valley Boulevard in Reno.

Based on comments from members of the public at the workshop, RTC will develop possible improvements for the area. People will have the opportunity to discuss the alternatives at Thursday's open house, and tell RTC about their preferences.
