The Nevada Department of Corrections says it needs help finding an inmate that escaped the Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City sometime late Tuesday night.

Authorities say 36-year-old James McDowell was incarcerated with the NDOC on May 9, 2014. He was serving time from Washoe County, serving 15 to 48 months for grand larceny of a motor vehicle.

He's described as 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

The camp has a capacity of 360 inmates, including those assigned to wildfire crews and the prison ranch, dairy and wild horse training program.

If you see him, you’re urged to call 911.
