Sparks Police: Glen Molly Couple Died of Natural Causes

Posted: Updated:
Sparks Police have released the cause of death for two people found dead inside a home located on Glen Molly in February.

Police say Kenneth Kelleher and his wife, Sheryl Kelleher both died of natural causes.

The autopsy for 54-year-old Kenneth Kelleher showed he died of natural causes from Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease.

The autopsy for 54-year-old Sheryl Kelleher revealed she died naturally from Acute Bronchopneumonia.

“Comprehensive autopsies were conducted in each case,” said Washoe County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Ellen Clark. “Both autopsies showed no evidence of trauma, toxicological ingestions or environmental exposures that would cause death. Natural disease was relatively extensive for each case.”

Police say a family member found the couple both unresponsive inside the home on February 25, 2014 and that no obvious signs a crime had occurred inside the home, or that the couple was victims of a crime.

During the subsequent investigation police and fire personnel checked the home for carbon monoxide and for any unusual sources of exposure to dangerous or lethal elements. All tests were negative.

Kelleher at one time was employed as the executive chef at Silver Legacy Casino Resort.
