Woman Arrested After Trying to Rob Sparks Casino

Posted: Updated:
Sparks Police arrested a woman who tried to rob the Rail City Casino on Victorian Avenue with a knife Tuesday night.

Police say they responded to the report of an attempted robbery around 8:30 p.m. They say 38-year-old Bonny May Miller approached the Player's Club desk with a note, saying she had a knife and wanted money. Police say employees turned her away and she left empty handed.

Security guards were able to follow Miller which led officers to her near Amigo's Auto Sales on Prater Way. After a short foot chase, police arrested her.

Police found her to be in possession of several prescription pills that she did not have a prescription for.

She was booked into the Washoe County Jail on attempted robbery and drug related charges.
