Reno Bighorns Host Summer Basketball Camp

Posted: Updated:
From the Reno Bighorns:

The Reno Bighorns will host its annual summer youth basketball camp at Damonte Ranch High School July 22 – 25, from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The camp is designed for girls and boys of all skill levels, ages 6-16. Tuition is $100.

The goal of the camp is to provide each camper with the fundamentals of basketball, including shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding, defense and team play. The camp offers skill development, individual instruction, and basketball games.

Each camp participant will receive a Bighorns t-shirt, two tickets to Bighorns opening night for the 2014-15 season, certificate of appreciation, and camp awards.

Bighorns head coach, Joel Abelson, will lead the camp, along with current Bighorns players. “We look forward to getting out in the Reno community to promote the Bighorns and teach Reno's youth how the pros play basketball,” said Abelson.

Campers should bring their own water bottle, snacks, and wear basketball attire. To register for the camp, interested persons should visit:
