Three Dead After Washoe Valley Shooting, High Speed Chase

Posted: Updated:
A man was shot and killed by authorities Friday night after a high-speed chase following a shooting in Washoe Valley.

The original shooting happened at a home on Leo Bingo Court in New Washoe City around 7:30 p.m.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office confirms when they got on scene, two females were found dead inside the home, while another man with apparent gunshot wounds was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Deputies believe the suspect stole a vehicle from the home and took off. The Nevada Highway Patrol told Channel 2 News he led officers from several agencies on a high-speed chase through Carson City, Dayton and then Fallon. It later ended at Sand Mountain Recreation Area in Churchill County. Troopers say the suspect then began driving toward them and officers shot him, who died on scene. Now, there's an investigation into the officer-involved shooting.

Investigators are still trying to figure out the motive for the shooting, so please stay with Channel 2 News for any new developments that come into our newsroom.
