El Dorado County, California deputies say an at-risk missing teen girl was found Sunday in the San Francisco area.

16-year-old Amy Richards was reported missing on June 3rd. Richards is currently being treated at a Bay Area hospital.

Deputies say Richards say she used a bicycle to travel from Placerville through Sacramento and eventually to a BART station. She then used BART to travel to San Francisco and eventually contacted the staff at a Starbucks Coffee shop in San Francisco, where she asked for medical assistance. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported her to an unidentified hospital. Her condition is currently unknown.

Deputies say a few days earlier Richards had been released from a hospital for severe anorexia.

Deputies say authorities had received numerous reports of possible sightings from the public during her travels, and although they could not locate her at the time of the reports, they say it was amazing how accurately the reports followed her path of travel.
