I-580 Lane Closures for Bridge Work Begin Sunday Evening

Posted: Updated:
From the Nevada Department of Transportation:

Lane closures will take place on northbound Interstate 580/U.S. 395 near the Spaghetti Bowl for bridge joint and other repairs.

Motorists can expect multiple lane closures where northbound I-80 crosses Kietzke Lane and the Truckee River between Glendale Avenue and the Spaghetti Bowl. Lane closures will take place Sundays through Fridays, June 8 through June 20 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The I-580 northbound to Interstate 80 eastbound ramp will also be closed intermittently during overnight hours, with a detour available via I-80 westbound to Wells Avenue or I-580 southbound to eastbound I-80 via Oddie Boulevard.

The approximately two-week project will make bridge joint, girder and soffit repairs identified by NDOT’s routine bridge inspection program. Nevada bridges have been routinely ranked some of the nation’s best.
