Nevada Highway Patrol troopers say both lanes of Highway 395 south near Parr Boulevard may be blocked after an accident involving a GMC Yukon SUV towing a trailer.

Troopers say the 12:45pm crash was caused when the Yukon's right rear tire fell off, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The 2-axle trailer swayed for a shirt distance before rolling over into the center median while the SUV remained upright during the incident. The trailer stayed attached to the SUV.

Both occupants of the SUV were not hurt. They were returning home to Zephyr Cove when the accident happened.

Debris from the crash blocked both southbound lanes. Traffic was initially diverted onto the right paved shoulder for about an hour when crews opened the right travel lane. The left lane should be reopened around 4:30pm once all of the debris is removed.

Troopers say drivers should expect traffic to be slow going in that area until 5pm.
