Three Arrested in Sparks Assault and Grand Theft

The Sparks Police Department has arrested three people who assaulted a person at a motel, robbed them and then stole their car.

Police say it happened at the Motel 6 on Victorian Avenue near Prater Way in Sparks Wednesday. They say Carina Beltran, Miguel Mejia and his brother Manuel Mejia approached the victim and tied them up, then stole their truck, personal belongings and some cash.

Police have located the stolen truck and say a woman who is a person of interest in the case was located and interviewed.

They say they are still looking for other potential suspects, but are not releasing the identities at this time.
